I am currently building and repairing guitars in Richmond Va. I have been doing this for many years having first opened my own repair shop in 1990. I apprenticed in a boat joinery shop in the late 1970`s, where I received a good background in fine woodworking. I feel this gives me a unique insight in the qualities of wood, glue, and other materials. I always have done guitar repair on the side, so it was a natural transition to Luthiery. I have been playing the guitar for over 40 years, having studied with many great players including Jerry Fields. I gig occasionally, playing Jazz and classical, among other styles. Recently I have played the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond and the Mayflower in DC. I am very dedicated to my craft and a good job is very important to me. I hope I will be able to help you with your instrument. I am a member of GAL(Guild of American Luthiers) ASIA (Association of Stringed Instrument Artisans) Former Member of the Panama Canal Yacht Club Future member of Dunkirk Yacht Club I am an authorized C.F.Martin warranty/service center. |
